The 1938 art deco McColls hotel in Dunoon closed down overnight in 2010 after the bank pulled the plug on its finance. All bookings were cancelled and staff sent home. It was up for sale for a while as agoing concern and was secured with sitex but this was removed a wee while back after it was sold for development. It looks like demolition will be on the cards soon for it as it has deteriorated badly. I've had look around but the photos from my phone are probably not good enough to make a report and it is pretty well vandalised now although a lot of nice period features remain. Might be an interesting explore for someone a bit more experienced than me.
