I looked at buying a proper camera bag but instead went for a Lowe alpine rucksack as it has a side bit which is perfect for my tripod. Also lots of small pockets for everything

That looks pretty smart. A tripod would fit well on the side by the looks of it.

I see this one with my manfrotto compact tripod and it works fine for me
