Report - [Melbourne, Australia] Care Life Aged Facility.

Care Life Australia in association with Aged Care Victoria established this 50 room, fully supported service facility in Ringwood to help care for the elderly.
Here they would be given meals, somewhere to sleep and 24 hour medical assistance when needed. The facility closed sometime in the last 10 months or so, and had remained in quite good condition, although it’s slowly succumbing to vandals.

Approaching the entrance, it was almost deafening, the shuddering and banging of the loose wood and plasterboard hanging from the hallway ceiling, which was being blown around violently by the strong wind entering a nearby broken window. Walking along the bland hallway, every room became an exact replica of the last, the furniture that would have originally been in most of the bedrooms had seemed to have made its way out into the hall, or out of the building completely, laying in the grass or in the carpark.
It was just one of those places where if you’ve seen one hallway or bedroom, you’ve seen them all..
