I don’t post to much on here because it’s all been done before but this was truly amazing

First a bit of history....
During the second world war the general Franco and their Nazi allied arranged to invade Gibraltar. At the same time Churchill arranged to invade the Canary Islands.
this operation was called Pilgrim´s Operation.

To prevent this, the general Franco built many defensive constructions in the coast of the islands.
One of the most important was the underground military base of the mountain´s Arinaga.
This base is near to the Gando´s base and was very important in the strategy against the Pilgrim´s operation.

The underground base was built in a volcanic cone called Arinaga´s mountain. This is 200 metre high and dominate all the coast around.

The explore after arriving in an area that looked it’s been hit with nuke we ascended up the side of the volcano past old gun turrets to big metal gate, after a bit of scaling we were inside inside was very dark and a bit sketchy in places if you don’t like enclosed spaces and strange noises this isn’t for you. After walking down the tunnels up and down stairs to ammunition lifts and shower blocks we existed via the opposing gate and scaled the trench cut out in the magma to a semi collapsed tunnel entrance. With a quick crawl through leaving the mrs at the entrance (the rest of the base had freaked her out as I said not for everyone) I walked through another tunnel in the rock and up a set of stairs to a machine gun turret at the top of the volcano. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking..
