Millbrook ROC Post Cornwall - 29/06/2025
HISTORY
This post was built in 1960 and closed in 1991, it is a master post. Next to it is an Orlit B Observation Post which is mostly destroyed except for the main platform which is still standing.
The post is located on Maker Heights on the island of Redoubt 1. Nearby are a number of fortifications including 4 Redoubts, two Batteries, a barracks, and a WW2 HAA Battery.
The post is mostly trashed, with missing airvents, a missing sensing pole, and shitty untalented lowlife graffiti scrawled across the walls, the only parts really remaining are the toilet door on the floor and a fire bucket still remaining, somehow though the counterweights for the door and the sump cover haven't been broken or nicked yet.
THE EXPLORE :
I am pretty sure the post hasn't been opened in years as it was covered in a ton of dust and cobwebs. This was one of the stops on our Plymouth trip where we visited a number of other sites including Fort Austin and the Cremyll Fuel Tanks, we also visited a restaurant in one of the converted Nissan Huts next door to this post in the old barracks which was absolutely rubbish and overpriced and I would not recommend eating there at all.
