right folks, hallo!
This is my first report, so don't expect magic to happen here, but give pointers where needed.
Visted here in June with Downturn for a quick evening explore after work, not the biggest of explores but we thought it was worth the trip.
As far as I know it hasn't been done on 28dl.
History was pretty hard to get hold of, all I could get was that it was built in 1869 and that it sat at the entrance of newhaven harbour which played a role in the whaling industry, no longer in action in the area. The port is now out of action since the leith port was build, a bigger lighthouse was built, hence the reason for this one being out of use.
As for the current future, probably demolition. Nearby a lot of new flats, mega bucks flats, are being built as part of area redevelopment, so I can't see the lighthouse being there too much longer.
Anyway, on with the pics.
