After hearing of the demolition developments concerning Pyestock I felt I had to get my arse back down there ASAP, and jumped at the chance when my mate Allstar asked if I'd like a trip down there, and we duly did.
As it was his first trip we took in the two big draws first, the Air House and Cell 4 before heading to the (pretty crap) Computer Building. At this stage it was a magical mystery tour as we had both not done any of these bits before, we just asked each other where we would like to head and tried to find something good! After a whizz through the computer building we utilised the Monk's Tunnel which brought us out into Cell 3, which gave me the feeling of absolute awe again, the pipework in that thing is absolutely bloody enormous! We had had a trouble free explore so far despite being nervy at many of the weird noises occuring seemingly in and around the Cell 3 building, and whilst we were both stood on the top level walkway in the building we heard security in their Land Rover rumble past...After a bit of waiting we stumbled across the (still operational?) water pumping room, tried for the fire station to see the plane but found it locked tight
and ended the day at Cell 3 West. Brilliant
We saw an access point for Cell 1 or 2 but it was one of those traps set up by security to show if there is someone in there or not, and not wanting to risk being caught in a dead end we didn't bother. And I've just noticed the majority of my photos are from Cell 3.....
Few random ones from other parts of the site.....
