Visited this today with Bryag after the snow foiled our initial plans (again :rolleyes: )

This was a WW1 battery, apparently it wasn't used in WW2, but some of the graffitti from workmen there in 1940 would suggest otherwise... It was armed with 4 Quick Firing 4-inch guns, 2 to each position, with underground magazines directly behind each position, cut into the rock. Little remains of the other buildings, mainly just the concrete bases, a toilet block, and one other building.
