Short History:
The tunnel was originally constructed prior to WW2 as a heading for a water main, but with the onset of war the height and width of the heading was enlarged and the 8" water main covered by a concrete floor. Access to the main was kept via manhole covers at frequent intervals. Electricity was supplied, fresh water was available via connections to the main, and sewerage points were also constructed.
It runs straight into the hillside behind Noah's Ark Road and slopes gently down to Combe Valley, with a total length of over 1,000 feet. It is concrete lined throughout with blast walls near the entrances and rows of toilet cubicles in recesses off the main tunnel

The Explore:
After finding the Noah's Ark Road Entrance completely sealed with no way in, we headed to the other end to find a relatively easy access point. what can i say about this place...its a long tunnel with some interesting WW2 graffiti at one end but was a decent little explore non the less.

on to the pics
