In terms of meeting up with people you're best getting out there with a mate or two first and sticking some reports up, you'll find the folks on here are a lot more likely to meet with you once they know you're genuine

I'd like to do that but none of my friends are interested, do you know if there is any type of urbex that's safe to do solo?

Yeah I do things solo all the time, sometimes it can have its advantages. You just need to apply a bit of common sense and don’t do anything overly dangerous.
