This is a compilation of 2 sites, purely because my images dont warrant a report on their own.

First off was Bailey Mill, Delph

Bailey Mill closed down in 1996.
Since that time it has remained empty and its future is uncertain. The old Delph branch line (locally known as The Delph Donkey) once ran along the front of the mill in the picture with the last passenger train running on Saturday 30 April 1955. I cant really find much in the way of history about the building other than that i was used as a cotton mill.

Next up was Wall Hill Mill

Now this was a bit of a fail as we couldnt find access to the main shed where the truck and sample £20 notes were :mad

Still an interesting mooch i guess though

Not too much history on the mill building, but it has been extended over the years to accommodate the ever expanding business until its closure in 2009. The building have workshops, storage area’s, offices and also had living quarters. It was used by mercedes aswell.
