After the closure of the Council Offices building about 12-18 months ago, Seaton Valley Council purchased what was the Bank, a smaller property around the corner. The council paid £385k to convert the two upstairs flats and the old bank into an Council Information centre for local residences.
A housing company is investing £2.5m in the development of houses and apartments on the site of the former Council Offices, from doing a bit of digging sources confirm that prior to demolition the clock on the front of the building is to be rescued.
