So this is a sort of historical post I guess, in as much as that these are photo's I took about two years ago. I've been exploring places for several years but haven't put up any photo's anywhere but Flickr, so please let me know if I'm not doing this right!
Designed by Stanley G. Livock, built by Simms & Cooke of Nottingham at a cost of £33,000 and opened on 9th November 1934 by Lord Mayor Fred Jex. Work was initially delayed, by the discovery during work on the foundations of several wells; some of which were thought to have housed secret caches of arms and gunpowder during the Civil War, and cesspits. It is a Grad II listed building and was to replace the Pottergate Fire Station. The fire service moved out in 2011 and it lay empty until it was bought by Graham Dacre of the Lind Trust, iwho turned it into The Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form.
