History
Farmhouse. C15-16. Early-mid C19 casing. Timber frame. Yellow stock brick front. Plain tile hipped roof. 2 storeys. 5 recessed sash windows, those of left and right centre blank.Central flush panel door with shaped bracket hood. Floor band. Wide eaves soffit. At S end of house is a truncated low gable,
behind which is a large late C17 lateral chimeny stack, this part formerly a cross wing to the earlier house. Roughcast rear elevation shows 2 lateral stacks, the N one larger. 4 flush sash windows. Probably 4 timber frame bays. Gable end at S end, heightened on S side."

My Visit

While on the way to another explore, this place caught the corner of my eye, it didn't look doable and under 24hr CCTV :D, I risked it, a bit of investigative work and I was in, nothing amazing, but a worthwhile explore, I expect back in the day this country house was very nice, looking a bit sad for itself now, anyway hope you enjoy, a nice little bonus explore enjoyed it

Apologies about some of the photographs, I had no decent torch and it was pitch black in quite a few places

Was a bit stripped out, but none the less a nice little bonus explore, and as most folks will know in Hertfordshire, it really is slim pickings :)
