I have alwasy been aware of this place but for some reason never really bothered about visiting, until I seen Alir147's photos and I had to make a trip.
I couldn't find much information about this place but it's last owners were Aberdeen College and I think it closed in 2004. The college used it for sports, before that I'm not too sure, but my Uncle went to summer camp here in the 1950's. My mum remembers going out with him and my grandparents once a week to see him and they were allowed to bring chocolate for the kids. My uncle was quite a character back then, so it could have been a place for baddies!!
It's a very grand and elegant building, hard to imagine it being a school.
As always, I visited in the evening, it was getting dark so not the best of photos. The grounds look magnificent .. a daytime visit is in order =]
