Been passing this for many years now, so thought while the sun is out and cameras to hand lets get in and have a look.

Was trying out some sepia tones with these pictures, trying to capture the atmosphere of the place.

This Lido has been abandoned for years now, it was in surprisingly good condition which was nice to see instead of the usual mindless vandalism and graffiti evident in so many of these beautiful places.

There was a petition a few years ago to help restore this attraction but have since fell on deaf ears https://www.shropshirestar.com/news...ue-bridgnorth-centres-open-air-swimming-pool/

Take only pictures and leave only footprints!

Nice to see something a bit different... sadly these places are from a bygone era that isn't likely to come back. Most of them have some local clamour to save them but no commercial viability. Saying that, your newspaper link shows a completely different pool. Are there two in Bridgnorth?

To my knowledge that was the only outdoor lido in Bridgnorth. From what I believe, that is an artist impression of what it should have looked like if the pool had been reopened.

Yeah wrong place, the link is for the Severn centre in Highley, different town down the road. The one in these photos is out at Swancote, about a mile outside of Bridgnorth.
