бяла кино
Open air cinema in the seaside town of Byala, Bulgaria.
Byala is part of the Varna Province on the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline. Byala, Varna Province - Wikipedia
The cinema was constructed in 1975 to seat 1200 people. It has been vacant since before my first visit there in 2005.
The image above shows the cinema circled in yellow. It is on a hill, close to the main road to the sea.
The land behind the main screen became a football stadium in the 1980's. The rooms underneath the stage are still used by the local football team.
The rooms at the back of the theatre contain m/f toilets and the projector room. I was unable to gain access to the projector room but I managed to get a peek inside by poking my camera through the hole in the wall and turning on the flash.
I took the photos over two days which should explain the gloomy/sunny shots.
