The Ovenden brook is a tributary of the Hebble brook,
which merges beneath Dene Clough mills by Lee bridge.
there's 3 culverts along the route consisting of both concrete & stone or brick,
requires a lot of stooping while negotiating ankle breaking debris.

Combined sewer outflow, (N F I drain).
wasn't gonna risk this because of the haze & having no 4 gas, oh & the stench was unbearable.

Good to see this lot again.

That CSO we did years ago is real bad!

There’s another one we did nearby I called Gollum’s Lair, that too was pretty bad!

The other stuff we did not so bad, but I’d recommend you invest in a meter if you’re gonna pursue the sewer aspect of the hobby as a minimum form of PPE :thumb

Again another fabulous report with some awesome pictures. As I began my journey on the sewage and drainage system of Halifax, as I researched the Hebble Brook and its pipes that flow into it I did do an interesting study of the Ovenden Brook, but unfortunetly for reasons I don't want to reveal I declined and concentrated on the Hebble Brook. These pictures are fantastic and you guys have done a fantastic job, and I for one are extremely grateful.
