Report - Painshill Farm House - Cobham October 2020

After spending a while looking on maps and around the area we finally managed to find this little house stuck in the past.

This house has been abandoned since Sid the owner passed away in 1996. I have been told that cremated remains is Sid’s sister and has been sat in the house for 40 years. The land is now half owned my the council and half by Sids daughter planning permission for the land has been discussed since 2016 but hasn’t had anything confirmed yet. This has been one of my favourite places so far.

Oh wow. Fab report. I love residentials but there's something so different about this one, it feels so personal. I guess it's because you don't usually get a name and a face with a place. Top notch and respectfully done

Blimey green shield stamps, I barely remember those. I sort of remember sticking them in a book for my mum and going somewhere to cash them in for something or other. What or where they came from I cant remember.

Photo 11, thats the Shlack (Think that was the name) replacement razor kit, that has to be from the 70's. Also cant believe they left ashes......

Sad to see those ashes just left there as if the person is just totally forgotten about no relatives or friends, to think that person was carried, born, loved, grew up, worked, etc.. and now just a pile of ashes left in a house that is rotting away that’s proper sad

Ah thats right, my mum always shopped at Tesco, and the place was like an Argos type place. I will read the link later, cheers WS
