Pale lane pill boxes - August 2019

After a harsh attack on me for posting a car park report and spigot mortar report, I would like to let people know something about me, I'm 16 I don't have a car, I ask my parents nicely to take me to these places because I find them interesting I am a amature explore, I can't afford to take public transport because my family lives on the poverty line and I felt very offended being attacked for posting some harmless stuff, so now here is the post about the pill boxes on pale lane, Winchfield, Fleet
I am only posting pictures because I don't want to be harassed again

There are thousands of people who never post anything and hundreds who think they are entitled to everything.

Well done for getting out and doing something and then posting.

Having posted a few things and received some criticism (not as harsh as it sometimes can be on here) consider what people said.

Post to the right place. For example, a couple of photos of the rebuilt spigot mortar position and this pillbox posted to the 'general photos' thread would have earned you some respect for posting and perhaps more positive criticism. Neither place warrants a 'report' on 28DL (maybe look at a bulletin board devoted to the defence subject such as the Pillbox Study Group) and so many photos of each aren't going to be of much interest (even on a dedicated bulletin board).
Try and make the posts more interesting - more history, observations such as the fact that the rebuilt spigot mortar position hasn't been exactly replicated as the interpretation sign would have you believe. Why was the pillbox built in that position? You need to make the posts stand out in a positive way (good photos, good history, unique subject).
Look at other posts, look at the subject matter, the photos and the feedback and see the two posts with guidance for newcomers. All will help you get along on here

Everyone starts somewhere.

Don't be discouraged, keep going out, keep looking at things and post when you have things you think would be of wider interest.

Everything that was said above plus maybe if you'd posted your age and circumstances people may not have been harsh.
Most of it was just banter, very common on forums and very often misunderstood as being harsh.

Internet forums can be brutal sometimes.

I'm sorry, but nothing can explain away that car park post. It just can't.

But to get things back on a positive track, this pillbox report is a great improvement!
