On my Covid riddled journey to Liverpool me and Chloe popped in here. We had seen other explorers photos that it looked beautiful but I think we may have been a tad late as the whole place had been smashed to bits and a fire started in one of the rooms.

the gate was wide open when we arrived and we were soon approached by a gang of kids asking if we were security and wanting to get in our photos. They insisted in showing us around even though we are quite capable adults and more and more kept turning up. Eventually they got the message we didn’t need their help but thanks for offering lol and they went away.

such a shame we got here too late to see it in its glory, it’s such a mess and I wouldn’t be surprised if it does get destroyed in a fire or something.

ive had to borrow the history from here coz my iPad is point blank refusing to allow me to copy anyth from google.

History -

Park House in the Sefton area of Liverpool was built in 1878 as a private dwelling for wealthy corn merchant Richard Cornelius, the house - complete with two acres of gardens and a private fishing lake – was occupied by Richard, his wife Louisa, four of his children and five servents. In the late 1880s the house was taken over by the Sisters of Notre Dame as a ladies school. In 1902 it purchased by the Augustinian Sisters who have ran Park House since, under various guises, including a convalescence hospital, a nursing home, a convent and a guest house. The site became vacant at the end of 2015 as it was becoming ‘increasingly untenable’ to run.
