Krk Island, Croatia.
Opened in 1972 with an investment of $45 million from Bob Guccione, the owner of Penthouse, the Haludova Palace Hotel was a way toward 're-educating' those behind the Iron Curtain. When it first opened the casino was staffed with Penthouse Pets as croupiers and that months Penthouse issue featured the opening of the casino and a Yugoslavian 'pet' on the front.
Now, it's an awesome complex to explore. Many buildings, including the disco, are spread out across a massive area, literally 5 metres from the beach!
