Here are some of my recent exploits above Philadelphia. Philly is either not the easiest city to rooftop or I'm doing it all wrong, because I seem to have a close shave every time I step foot on a roof or I get denied before getting the chance to.

EDIT

I feel like I should hit on a couple of the more prominently pictured buildings. I know the 28DL crowd likes the historical bits :D

City Hall, pictured in 5, 6, and 10, is a Second Empire style municipal building built between 1871 and 1901 to be the tallest building in the world at 548 ft (167 m). By the time it was completed it had been surpassed by the Eiffel Tower and Washington Monument, but remained the tallest habitable building in the world from 1901-1908. To this day it remains the 2nd tallest masonry building in the world, bested by the Mole Antonelliana in Turin by half a meter. With over 700 rooms, it is the largest municipal building in the United States and among the largest in the world. William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, stands atop the tower facing Penn Treaty Park where he signed a peace treaty with the local Leni Lenape Indians in 1683. A gentleman's agreement formed on the buildings completion limited the height of any building constructed in the city to 548 feet (167 m), the peak of Wills hat. This agreement remained unbroken for 86 years, surpassed finally by One Liberty Plaza in 1987 (building w/ tall spire in 1,4,6,8,9,10) which rises to 945 ft. (288m). Since then, Philadelphia has seen seven building exceed city hall. Most notable is the recently constructed Comcast Center (slab-sided building, also in 1,4,6,8,9,10) which nearly scratches the 1,000 ft. mark at 975ft (297m) and is currently the tallest building between NYC and Chicago. I'll include more center city history in my next philly roof thread
