Hi all,
Here we go with my first site report.
Pirniehall School has been reported on before, so this is an update and I’m trying to post pictures of areas that were not covered or pictured before.
I read the stories about the woman with the Rottweiler turning up! But apparently quite friendly and even gives a guided tour! Sounds good, but I was a bit worried that would mean she likes to tell you were to go, and we wouldn’t get to explore the whole site. I’m guessing she walks her dog round the site and if she hears anyone will challenge them.
It’s reported previously that this woman had relatives who worked there, but it’s not clear if she owns the site. I did some surfing around on this, and minutes from local community meetings say its privately owned, and the locals were keen to know the owners plans (if any). As of November 08 they report no progress. It was suggested in the past that it’s refurbished as a conference/education venue.
We were there for about 2 hours, finishing off upstairs we heard a womams voice saying “hello, do you want to come out now†Our plan was to make friends with Rottweiler woman, but as we had just finished thought we would try and get away! We fell silent, and she seemed to be on the phone saying “can you come down with the other dog†EEK! fortunetly we heard her moving away – maybe not sure where we were. We managed a quick getaway, unseen.
The Green house:
An Outbuilding:
Site Exterior:
Garage and Workshop:
The Kitchen, someone has been feeding cats, these tins were "use before 2010"
Big room
Changing room leading to the showers:
Urinal:
A huge room, not sure what it would be for:
Dinning room:
Daily Record from 1993:
Some of the collapsed floors, taken from upstairs:
Toilet:
Fireplace:
The Boiler room:
Cheers
