Point of Ayr Collier (site of), Flintshire, North Wales. Visit to the site in 2013.
The site was North Wales' last colliery and closed in 1996.
There were no buildings left, just a footbridge and lots of railway lines, standard gauge and narrow gauge.
One photo shows the Talacre gas terminal that receives gas from the Liverpool Bay field and processes it to be burnt in the Connahs Quay power station.
I believe the colliery remains have all gone now and the site is being redeveloped.
