When the Stooges heard of an old State Hospital originally refered to as the "Pond" we were determined to look into it. Located deep with the confines of Central Massachusetts, the cancer research Hospital had a history rich in scandal and innuendo. The hospital fell under many names over time and some theorize this was done as a cover-up for all the evil done there over time;
"Norfolk State Hospital"
"Pondville State Hospital"
" New Pondville Hospital"
" Pondville State Cancer Hospital"
And at least 5 more names up to the day it was closed.
Over that last period of time care slipped from a level of
excellence to the usual result of something driven purely by profit lines.
In the end, things went very off center as Federal and State funding fell away, the staff was left to fend for itself. As with anything else, lack of oversight by some higher power left the site open for the staff to run.
The more innocent exteriors which show some of the originall post WW2 buildings as well as the main building which was built in 1969.

A weird ghost like image forewarned us

Like something straight out of a Star Trek episode, The reflections in this operating room
light reminded us of some kind of mind dissolver.

Relaxation tapes to help you forget about the pain, amputations and radiation burns

Concentrated radiation beams were used here in the basement radiation therapy room with cement walls over 16" thick"

Mold filled Sub Basement Radiation Treatment room

I shudder to imagine what it felt like to be under the beam of flesh burning radiation

Our team theorized that perhaps Cranial tissue was concentrated in this brain melder and injected into the patients who lost their minds in the heavy doses of radiation:

He just wasn't the same after he came out of that hospital.
Nobody will explain it to me, I can't get any answers.
In his highly agitated state, he was beyond control by the usual methods.

Legend is the sad products of medicine gone bad could sometimes be seen trying to play basketball: Of course the court was behind the old service building, well out of view of any prying eyes.

Treatment or torture?

The infamous "blood" passageway from which nobody escaped:

Would the trip be complete without a morgue
This one was quite hard to find. No signs pointing to the morgue
to remind the cancer suffers of their probable final destination.
It was a little unusual in that there where no drawers just
a large fridge for the stiffs to be stored in temporarily
