This primary school is hours from the nearest town in the sub-tropical jungle of Ecuador.
The rural schools were funded by the government in 1970s but funding is being pulled. To make matters worse, lack of employment and poverty mean the local population is moving away (mostly to Europe). This school is one of the many casualties, it was closed last year in April 2012.
It looks in a bad state but remember this is rural Ecuador. I don't see many posts on 28dayslater from Ecuador so I thought I'd share it with you.
This shack is where the teacher lived until the school was closed
From the outside
The school received funding from this bank... I guess the funding ran dry
