Visited today with Raddog.

A bit of history. Prora was designed by the Nazi party to be a holiday resort for 20,000 people. Building commenced in 1936 but it was never totally completed. There are 8 buildings of 500m each. After the war it was used by the Soviets and the GDR.

On arrival we were a bit downhearted to see the place crawling with tourists, buying ice cream and eating at the cafes. However, we didn't know that this was also a popular Baltic resort.

We started looking at the buildings from the outside at first, the weather was faultless. The buildings are ridiculously long, like nothing we've seen before...

The first floor and up is all residential, with the rooms all facing the sea. The spurs at the back of the building contained the stairs, toilets and washrooms.
