So, this is where it all starts;

I've been doing some work for a feed mill recently, and there are similarities between the types of equipment used in these facilites- basically conveyors, motors, gearboxes, ladders, gantries, so i'll try and explain best I can. Of course,if anyone knows quaries make the necessary corrections.

I think the picture above might be known as an intake pit. The place which the rocks are dumped into by truck to begin the process of crushing and screening rocks into suitable sizes for their end products. Below is a picture of the intake system;

Decending the stairs of the intake tower. The motor sticking out of the tank would be a hydraulic tank and pump arrangement, supplying power to machinery;

No sure of this, but would ashphault plant sound reasonable? The highest point, the rectantangular ducting, is definately an elevator though. Probably a vertical conveyor belt, but with metal buckets bolted onto the belting to carry material to the top;

I assume these are storage bins and outgoing product loading facility;

Not really much to see inside;

Highest conveyor, the containers below are workshops;

Looking right;

That's about it really. Obviously, there are other smaller buildings and control rooms to look at.
