not exactly ue but the only way to see this place is on a guided tour...but feel free to bin this thread


seen the control room first hand and the huge fans that control the flow of air
then under the road surface to the tunnel itself
along some escape tunnels to see the cars flying past
also had a look at the service tunnels (central avenue)

well worth paying a visit to this place

Great pix-this is one of Liverpool's hidden wonders that the general public can now see thanks to the tours. That log book looks pretty old,wonder how far back it goes. The best thing is that shot of the dock walls and the foundations of the Cunard. I bet most people would assume there to be no trace of those docks remaining. There was a special extended 28DL tour a couple of years ago down there,with plenty more pix like that,and snappel has more from an urbex of the Cunard,they're on his website.

BTW,did you get to see the inspection,um,saloon? lol.

This mighty beast is what they use to inspect the underside of the road deck for cracks and whatever.
