Spotted this on a walk up Snowdon Grid Reference SH 57464 58734. It looks like an old structure with some recent aerial additions

The land registry says it's "a Telecommunications Installation at Hafod Lyndan, Llanberis". I think that should read Hafod Lydan as that is what the surrounding farm is called.

It looks to date from the late 50s or early 60s.

I can't find anything else.

I suspect that the original use was a transformer substation for the quarry supply.

The aerials are UHF stacked dipoles, usually used for commercial 2-way radio systems but could be used for anything between 420-470 MHz.

Thanks for all your responses. Looks like we have identified the newer additions.

Any further information on the older structure/building ?
