Report - Radbrook College Shrewsbury January 2017

Another old one I don't believe see much activity.

The main building of the Radbrook College campus was built at the turn of the 20th century. Designed by G R Dalgleish and built at a cost of £8244.
Opened as the Shropshire Technical School For Girls with space for 26 borders.
There was some expansion and modernisation during the 1960s but the original building retained some key features.
The site eventually closed in 2014. In 2016 a deal was made to build housing and flats on the site and work should of started in spring 2017.

Thats nice, or at least the stairs & hall are. Strange that some other parts are such a contrast!

I guess that's 60 years difference in design.
The stairs were worth a good few shots and I'm a sucker for glass bricks so the newer part wasnt too bad.

Looks like some of the college is or has been demolished then. At least they kept the hall.

i checked this out in early 2020 and couldn’t access the building as housing developers had started work and were turning the area into a newbuild housing estate
