Day trip to the southside for Chauffeur and myself.
Old RAF Station, part of the camp is being renovated into 'business units' and the other is trashed to bits.
The main Hangars are used by a company selling ex-MOD equipment (including railway tenders), and by a recycling company that is just being set up. The muals and stencils were found during the rebuilding works and the owner is keeping them as a feature, so they will be varnished over to preserve them

We stopped to ask some info of the 'Memphis Belle' Hangar - where the film was made. The workman brought us in to see the murals, a little mini-guided tour it was. they are proud to keep these pics as a record of the hangars history
