First of all, RAF Dishforth is an active Army Airfield housing 9 Regiment AAC with Apache Attack Helicopters.

However at the back of the airfield is an abandoned WW2 Bomb Dump.

Red Line is boundary Fence of currant airfield. Not advisable to cross.
Yellow Line marks the fenced boundary of the Old Bomb Dump, with a 4' 6" wooden gate at A

At B is the Centrol Armourers Arming Area, and Disarming for Aircraft returning with bombs.

One of the rows at area D is filled with wreaked cars that were not there last time I looked

Locations E, F and G are I think Detonator Stores with G also having a larger componant store

E being the only location flooded (About 2 feet)

These last 2 pictures show how close the dump is to the currant airfield.
