Our day started with a trip to Derby Royal Infirmary but was unfortunately cut a bit short by some dodgey characters so we went to finish off Nocton.
My partner in grime was hamtagger (He's got some awesome reports on here)
I've already been to Nocton Hall before but at the time I didn't know about the RAF Hospital that's close by. I think I've got a few shots here that haven't been covered in other reports. (I'm not 100% though)

History Lesson Time
RAF Hospital Nocton Hall was a 740-bed RAF hospital serving the predominantly RAF personnel based at the large number of RAF Stations in the area. It opened in June 1947. It was used by forces personnel, their families and local civilians until it closed on 31st March 1983. During the Gullf War it was used by the US Air Force and over 1,300 US Medical Staff were sent there.

This would be quite difficult to sit on with it having only two legs.

One of the longest corridors I've ever had the pleasure of walking down.

This room was alot greener in person (It was called the Sterile Area)

The arrow to nowhere. It would be interesting to find out where this should have been pointing to.

The place is a mess and burned out quite badly but it still has charm in an odd way.

This might be the last set of keys at Nocton.

I've been told there used to be two of these

Nice pics Matt, I like the 1 with the armchair with 2 legs. hehe nice 1. I think you have been in part sI have been in as well. I was with 2 other friends who maily took pics in the central area where the cold storage site was. I wanted to photograph some more but the light and time was going fast, my friends wanted a cup of tea at my mates house in Nocton, we had been there all afternoon. I had to push the ISO up 3200 on my last pics. I should really take tripod, but I leave them behind when you get engrossed into the project so I don't bother now because you then have to look for it. The picture with the fire place looks good and the door knob. So much there, I just want to get some more before Leda properites demolish it. I think its grade 2 listed now by English Herriage (Not sure on that). I could do with spending a day there really photographing room by room, well the best ones. If you are up for it, ring me. The house too later, ive photographed the staircases and interiors in both Annex and the house. Just more basement rooms to finish off and the frontage details and front interiors. the list seems to go on and on.
