This was a backup/second explore which we found ourselves with time for after visiting the main target for the day.
I really enjoyed this, it's just a nice, relaxed, stress free explore.
On first glance it would be easy to disregard the hall and miss the maze of tunnels and cellars underneath. Once you start looking it seems that there's a new room round every corner and lovely original features galore.
The history of the site dates back before the Doomsday Book and has been well covered here already. I'm not about to type it all, but for anyone who's interested-

The hospital part of the site is a sprawling single storey complex, completely trashed and quite repetitive, but is still worth a look if you're there already.
