I just saw that a company called Ai500 plan to hold an airsoft event at RAF Nocton Hall hospital at the end of October. I'm not familiar with these events but given how trashed the site is, it seems they might need to clear it first. Looking at the map on their Facebook page, most of the hospital area is marked "Military buildings to be demolished".

The Nocton village blog also says Ai500 are looking to use the site for the next 5 years, which makes sense if they are planning to spend money clearing it.

Maybe time for a quick last visit?

I hope they don't demolish the buildings just so these people can play airsoft twice a year?

If they dont demolish the buildings they are going to have to clean them out. I wouldnt venture into some of them without a mask. When its dry there is all sorts of dodgy looking dust flying around when you walk down the corridors.
Awesome place to go though, was suprised how far it goes back when you get inside.

Clown masks work great but only if fitted with a decent filter, ive had family members die from mesothelioma and Don't want to go the same way

Unfortunately I imagine that clearing / bulldozing would be cheaper than cleaning and leaving the buildings standing, wouldn't it?

Yes it probably would be cheaper :( Might be easier to just brick up the entrances to the buildings and do airsoft around the outsides.

Would have thought that the appeal to using the site would be the buildings but with everything stripped out
