RAF Tilstock was operational between 1942 - 1946, most of the buildings still remain although many are in poor condition, the control tower is boarded up and apparently empty, there are many billet / hut style buildings but there is one building which was a real great explore, a large ground floor building with hardly any windows with many rooms leading into other rooms and corridors, its very dark which made it even more of a labyrinth giving it the impression of a tardis. This particular building was pretty much like an above ground bunker and because of the darkness it had very little graffiti or vandalism. Its mainly stripped out apart from ventilation and other pipe work. Other surrounding buildings have things still left in them but nothing from ww2, however there is still a very old car in one of them, believed to be a sunbeam Talbot 90 mentioned on another thread. Visited with Stev1182, this a handful of the pics taken
this was a poster off one of the walls in one of the huts, think i can make out the word "mortar" what do you think ?
Is this s spelling mistake ?
this biulding was ace, pitch black inside and a maze of rooms
