Visted whilst taking Jason_E on a guided tour/his debut explore!
Locations visited: 20th EMS (594) to get cover stuff missed (random artwork), Building 593 (stripped completely with no artwork whatsoever - very few pics), Chow Hall/Lamplighter Inn, 20th FMS (Dorm 446), Audio/Video Library (big green building on communal side).
We tried the Skyking but didn't get in due to undisclosed reasons. Worry not, I will get in next time though! Saw security in the Shopette nosing through some magazines LOL!
20EMS: I forgot to get pics of some of the good artwork so I returned and got these:
Mmmm!
Sorry but I couldn't resist!
A nice overview of Heyford from Building 593
Chow Hall: This has suffered a lot more vandalism and an arson attack since UKMayhem's report.
Team shot!
Building 446/20FMS: Covered by UKMayhem in 2008
Tetris bombers!
Is this Saddam Hussein?
Library (big green building on communal side):
Bit of a mixed bag really. Upper Heyford ranges from some brilliant stuff that's totally immaculate to the downright bland and trashed. If there's only one building you go to on the Communal side, make sure its #594 - a delight for artwork lovers!
Regards,
TBM
PS. Rest of pics are at RAF Upper Heyford Part 3
