Visited with my dear friend Hazel, my urbex Chum Mookie and his friend Scott on 16/1/10. Man what a day. Starting off with shit weather, and failing the hospital due to undisclosed reasons (Donut Man knows) and doing the school which was rubbish then hitting gold and doing a location NO-ONE here or on any UE forums have done! Yeah it was stripped of all equipment and beds but the murals and posters were BRILLIANT! Did a few outbuildings as well.

I won't post the history because everyone who is aware of Heyford will be aware of it so on with the pics. Before I do, I'll post my review of the locations visited (see my Hospital report and you'll see what I'm referring to).

I didn't stay to take a pic of the asbestos close up where it had been disturbed but that roof must have some in the middle.

There are still interesting pieces inside the abandoned hangers:thumb
The echo inside one of these is unbelievable, I entered one in pitch darkness, while we waited for the lights to come on, being sodium powered they took a few minutes to come to full power, it was like a big cave opening up in front of you, a great experience:thumb

Lights just coming to full power.

Original paperwork still abounds of how to get 2 F-111's in the hanger.
