On Friday 21st June 2019 I went to explore the woods near hook end and Woodcote to see if I could find any remains of the RAF base

RAF Woodcote, was mainly known as 70 Maintenance Unit, an Equipment Dispersal Depot covered over a wide area totalling over 175 acres of dispersed storage in the area of South Woodcote, Goreing Heath , Crays Pond and the surrounding areas much of which was unfenced and undefined on OS maps, with dispersed railheads at Goring & Pangbourne.
