Hi I don't know if anybody can help

I'm looking for a location in sheffield. I'm looking for a large empty open indoor space (old sports hall. Factory etc) that is completely abandoned no secca or anything with high ceilings. I'm looking for this for learning to fly my new quadcopter (to use for aerial reports) it has got to be mostly obstacle free.
The only location I can see so far is the gas reservoir off Newman rd/Fife street (I think they are disused as sections of the roof are missing) however this could be quite a sensitive/dangerous place for potential sparks etc plus I think there is secca.

Any help would be appreciated.

As I am learning etc. I want no outside influence I.e. Wind rain etc. Plus if it decides to fly away I don't lose it just crashes and then I fix it

So far the contenders are. Brad field water works. Loxley chapel(a bit small) and middle wood hospital church(may be demolished secca risk etc). Looking for other contenders

Yeh planning on having a look there tomorrow. Might not have the height though.

just be aware if you have a DJI concrete sends the systems bonkers and the flying machine will become crazy and uncontrollable.

I have heard that. I have a custom 250 and a custom 650 running on multiwii with a taranis tx and rx so hopefully should be ok.

Low Bradfield water works would be a good place for a fly, easy in nice high ceiling and a good long corridor - sand on floor for a soft landing

I found that anything that can interfere with the signal will interfere with the signal inside from concrete rear to RSJs etc etc and with a DJI flying in Nassa mode is challenging to say the least inside buildings. ....and I use up rated TX & RX

Outdoors is best find a field with some trees in it to manoeuvre about then when you've perfected it use a blindfold cos that's what it feels like when they decide to go beserk lol

Setting home coordinates won't work as if I flick return switch or loses signal it raises to 6th above last position the fly over location and descends ......through what ?? Also high voltage lines and Police Radio Masts etc fuck them up

Never mind the ship getting sucked up into the motors
