Rauceby Asylum.
So I've finally got round to getting this up here after being pestered by a few of you. Another site from my hire car derp tour with Atomic in tow. Nothing much to say about this place other than we got here a few years to late. No drama except for bumping into a few pikies but they were coll enough and had a nice chat.
History.
I won't bore you all with a massive history section as it's all been said before so I'll just add a summary;
Rauceby Hospital, originally called Kesteven County Asylum, is a now-defunct mental institution in the parish of Quarrington, Lincolnshire. Building work was commenced in 1897, the facility was completed and opened in 1902.[1] After changing hands and names several times the main hospital building was closed in 1998 and abandoned for several years. From 2004 parts of the site underwent redevelopment to convert it into private housing.
