:D So some brief history on this place, the main lighthouse became obsolete in 1870 it was then replaced by two "leading lights" these were more sophisticated than the first lighthouse in that they had to be aligned, so when they were seen in a straight line one above the other, the ship's captain would know he was on the correct course for the deep water channel. the lights are still operational although there was some discussion about moving them in 2003.

It is a nice chilled out gander up there, I've been up the red one before, just a shame it isn't bigger. I never knew about the 2 "leading lights" thing, I always like it when I learn something from a report

I have been considering a trip to visit both banks of the Humber, which holds much industrial interest. You did well to supply such interesting photos.
