The building on street view

Closed last week, CCTV and PIRs on the outside. Security is out-sourced, not sure what security inside would be like but sure is a cool building... Hmm
I was thinking it would be a great one! I am/was a regular patient there & it looked like a contender even when it was up and running it was so old & shabby looking! Bloody good treatment there though. Heard from staff it's going to be apartments. Wonder if a permission visit is possible?

I'm a weasel's stagger away from this one (walkable) so I shall be keeping a close eye on the goings on. Definitely interested in doing this one, should anyone be planning a trip once it quietens down. Expect it's probably still crawling with staff atm.

As far as I can tell the premises is vacated but unfortunately 'passive access' doesn't look like an option at this time. Could be one for a permission visit.

I live at the back of this place and heard the uni (I'm a student) has it's eye on it to turn it into student accommodation, so it may not be empty for long

That's what I was thinking
Yeah... only thing that worries me with a permission visit is that it'll limit the time on-site. Where's the squatters when you need 'em

I have contacts at the uni and if this is the case may be able to arrange a permission visit (though I guess this would have to wait until they acquired the property).

I'm not sure if they own it already or not but it may be worth asking your contacts if they know the current situation. I walked past today and saw the lights were on in some rooms so I'm guessing it's still being emptied, though I couldn't see any cars parked inside the gates

I didn't think the NHS would be that efficient in clearing it out and transferring the deed within a few days but I guess it's not impossible.

I thought the same thing at first but walked past a few times now... even tried to go in and book an appointment  I'm fairly certain they've been left on as deterrent.

What a lovely waste of energy. Though it probably would get chavved pretty quickly. Is it all sealed up then?

From what I've just read, the infirmary is now located at Deriford, so it'd make sense that they'd have shifted all the stuff they wanted to take pretty sharpish. I guess this means there's a reasonable chance that there's no staff at all there now.

I've heard the reports about the student flats too, does anyone know if the planning permission went through? Additionally, I've seen the phrase "bristol developer" thrown around, so this might not be under the Uni at all which would be a pain. Has anyone got anything more concrete info wise?

Search on the PCC planning applications page pretty much answers our questions:

I guess that pretty much seals up the discussion on the lead rumour info side of things I guess.

Isn't really appropriate to discuss it in more detail.
