This is my first post.............so here goes!
Taking a road trip in Northern France mean't I couldn't miss a quick stop off at the old race circuit just outside the city of Reims. As you will see the weather was closing in, so a few hurried shots of what remains part of racings history.

The history part.

The Reims-Gueux circuit was triangular in shape using the existing main roads of the day and was in action between 1926 and 1972.

In 1950 the first F1 race was held here, with the winner being Juan Manuel Fangio. The last F1 race was staged at Reims in 1966, other forms of car racing continued until 1969 and finally in 1972 the last bike meeting took place and the track fell silent to racing for good.

Recently a local restoration group named "Les Amis du Circuit de Gueux" (friends of the circuit) have taken to trying to restore what is left of the circuits buildings, grandstands and infrastructure.

So, to the photos.
