So in the summer I was in rendlesham forest which is owned by the forestry commission So is obviously open to the public. 8 miles east of Ipswich. With a little research I found out it was the site of an apparent ufo sighting by American/British military officials. Whats more interesting is the old raf air base (bentwaters). I didn’t even contemplate going inside for obvious reasons I’d doubt you’d last 5 minutes giving the nature of the site formerly housing radioactive materials amongst other things. Me and a friend did walked around a section outside the base (which is possible) and tried to get a good look inside. I’ve only explored a section of the forest as it’s quite a size. Around 5.8 square miles. If you do take a look around at night you will get bats flying at your light occasionally. Doesn’t rate highly on the places to explore list but as I stated the air base is interesting and would love to hear from anyone that’s been here or has been stupid or brave enough to go inside.
