On my first attempt at this ROC Post the Armed Police were having a training exercise in the rugby club next door.
I didn't think this would be an issue as the ROC Post is sort of in the trees at the end of the car park...I was wrong!
I took some exterior shots, and as I was getting my torch out of my bag an unmarked van sped over toward me, needless to say I legged it in to the trees for cover. Someone got out of the van looked around and went away....I left it for another day.
On my return visit I treated my brother to his first ROC Post, since then we have covered about a dozen together and he has done a couple himself too. Those will be on the website soon!
When my brother and I returned there were no interuptions so we cracked on...Inside was something that left us feeling a little uneasy!
From the bottom of the Fixed Survey Metre pipe was some rope that had been cut, seeming as if someone was cut down either during or after hanging themselves. Also the hand prints everywhere were a little strange, however we put this down to someone having mud on their hands from climbing down the ladder and just wiping them off. The name of the street/road/lane of this one is pretty gory too!
It's pretty smelly and trashed in this one.
There is no hatch, nor counterweight, the sump pump is missing, the external vents are damaged or missing and nothing really remain in tact throughout!
