With my insomnia kicking at full strength, and a day off work looming, my mind turned to outstanding odds and ends on the hit list. I jumped in the car with my tripod riding shotgun and headed off to Chester in search of a rather uninspiring little bit of scaffold that I had seen on a previous trip to get the crane done. The scaff turned out to yield access to a rather nice network of rooftops, including those of the northgate theatre, forum shopping center, indoor market and TJ Hughes. This was a very chilled explore, and it was nice to be skulking around my old stomping ground after so much time and effort being spent further afield.

I had hoped that these rooftops might afford an access to the northgate theatre, this was not to be. I did however get a decent look into what I assume would be storage for props from various productions.

Bus depot with the old odeon in the background...

The skylights on the top of the market's roof are absolutely mesmerising

Thanks for looking,
