The oldest part of the school, nearest to the road, was opened in 1902.
There is a substantial extension to the rear, more than doubling it’s size,
and other bits added on at the front and down one side.
The local planning records only go back to 1985
so I’m guessing these were added in the late 70s.

In 2012 planning permission was sought for - “the erection of 180 dwellings
plus a replacement primary school on a site very close by. In the event that a new school is granted planning permission and provided, it is proposed by the applicant that the existing school site would be re-developed with
16 dwellings.”
The new school did get built, so this one closed and on 23rd December 2014
the children left the school for the last time

*By redeveloped they mean demolished. Obviously.

There going to do this with it.

I very relaxed wander, with the sounds of tennis from next door drifting
through the building it almost felt like summer.
Photos, starting from the new bit at the back, 6 modern, uninspiring classrooms.

Instead of names, the hooks had little picture frames,
personalised with children’s drawings in them.

With the high windows, the older classrooms were mostly much lighter.

Very nicely done mate.
Visited here myself recently; don't remember seeing that TV - it's probably been had already!
